CWD Positive Deer

I will do it!! I will even eat it with a smile! Is the meat deboned? Is the OP or anybody coming east any time soon that would want to make this happen?
It's completely deboned and processed. Not coming East anytime soon though.

It's not a great feeling "for me anyways" to throw the meat out. Would rather give it to someone. Firmly believe in eating what you kill, but given the choice of eating this deer or a deer without cwd; I'll go with one without.
I have a serious question here. How many are killing positive deer and throwing it out but when it comes to the covid shot they say those of us that have had it are sheep ?
I hear ya… I'm not a smart man, but like to think I'm good at taking advice from folks that know more than me. The same folks who understand the science behind the covid vaccine also recommend not eating deer meat from a CWD positive deer. Therefore, I'm vaccinated and not eating this deer. Have no issues with anyone who decides to do anything different either!

There has to be a YouTubeer that will eat all of it for the likes!

I want to see one of the TNDeer tough guys eat it, not some random YouTuber.

If you are willing to eat a CWD deer I'm willing to respect your opinion of it not being an issue. As for me, I'll pass.

I'd really bet none of you deniers would feed it to your kids.

I got buddies who bring us venison from several of the cwd hot spots out west, me and my family have been eating it for several years. I have no issues with my family eating this deer. If anyone is coming east anytime soon we will take it

The website I looked at didn't exist in the 60s
Yes, I understand that, but in your original post you stated folks out west had been dealing with CWD for 2 decades. That is factually incorrect as CWD has been around since at least the 1960s, which would actually be more than 6 decades, a big difference. Also, many wildlife biologists believe CWD has been here much longer but just haven't been able to prove it yet.

My apologies, please forgive me

The division among us.

Yeah, and is it rapidly spreading? Or are they simply testing more now than before it was discovered?
I believe it's spreading pretty quickly. I know a few farms in the Lagrange and Hickory Valley areas that are being hit hard. Deer numbers are way down. One farm which is 2,700 acres, has shut down hunting because the deer numbers are so low.
Our numbers were down this year. Although this is only the 3rd deer we've taken that tested positive.

Got the results back for my 2nd buck from Hardeman County. It tested positive for CWD. Anybody want the meat? Or does anybody have a proper way to dispose of the meat? Located in Oakland, Tn.

He had a large tumor on the inside of his back leg. Processed did not keep any meat from that leg. Guess I'll get back in the woods this weekend to try to refill the freezer!
Nice buck! I live around Oakland. Hate it tested positive.
