Had two nice young bucks that I had been watching all summer. Both needed another year or two, Neighbors got one during archery and the other bought it yesterday during rifle.

I feel your pain. I pass a lot of deer, with all the 3.5 year olds and couple 4.5's I passed early last year, there should have been some really good bucks around here this year. The boy that used to have the farm behind us didn't deer hunt much and he and his dad let little ones go too. Property changed hands a couple years ago. Think whoever owns it now is letting several on to hunt and they are killing everything I pass up. What's worse, they are pushing in over a mile from where their property starts to get in on top of us. They have a hundred acres of an crops on the other end.

My stance for next year may be a lot different.

Perspective. Bummer for you but they made somebody else's day. I know exactly how you're feeling but ive also been that somebody else. So have you. I always have to remind myself of that.
So true Ski. That's how I keep my sanity now knowing I was shooting those one time and happy as a lark doing it.

Everyone's definition of a trophy is a different. Congratulations to the neighbors. We all want to manage the herd for our goals, but unless you own a LOT of land it's a difficult task. All we can do is let him walk when we see him and hope the neighbors do the same.
