Decommits

Heard this was gonna happen a few weeks ago.

You snooze you lose and unfortunately TN is doing a lot of snoozing these days. I have little to no faith in Currie as an AD. As long as he fires CBJ at the end of the season I will give him the benefit of the doubt all the way up until he hires the new head coach, then I will re evaluate my feelings towards him. I get the feeling that he is trying to figure out a way to let CBJ stay longer.

Don't be surprised if Butch is coaching at TN next year.

Butch is gone. It appears he hasn't been told yet, as there are reports that Butch is working some big donors hard in hopes of a 6th season, but it's a waste of time. Butch has 19 days left at best.

Did you check with the resident gator fans before you posted this?

Mays is attending the Ohio State/Michigan State game this weekend in Columbus. The thinking from those who follow this stuff in Columbus is that Clemson and Georgia stand the best chance. Amazing. He's more than a Vol legacy.

How do you know UT is snoozing?

Currie is going to have to earn my confidence as an AD that is really committed to bringing UT football back to competing for national titles. However, I do have confidence that he hasn't been doing nothing while Jones' bricks come tumbling down.

I want Butch out as much as anyone, but firing a coach mid-season isn't always a good idea. It didn't work out so well for the Gators Saturday.

Hmm, it's a decommit ;) !

Plus, wasn't this posted on here like three weeks ago?

If he does go elsewhere, it's his decision, and no one can fault him for that. Just like the Knox area guys who went elsewhere last year.

Or maybe, he just wants the red-carpet treatment when he takes his official visits ;) :D !

Also, Butch is gone, and he knows it.

That's going to make for some interesting and lively discussion here.

Maybe, if it happened. It won't.

From folks I trust Butch is telling folks close to him that he thinks he will be in play at UNC and the Arizona schools.
