Deep Fried Prime Rib

Sounds like an oxymoron to me....prime rib should never be fried! Let us know how it works out.
 
I'm committed now. Kroger 6.99/pound. This one is just shy of 9 pounds.

It turned out great, the cooking time was longer than I expected. Most recipes called for 3.5 to 4 min's per pound which would have been 29-32 mins for an 8.3 pound roast. It took almost an hour for it to reach 110 degrees, then it hit 130 after being wrapped in foil for about 30 min's. My roast was bone-in so that probably accounted for the longer cook time.
