Thanks, but I'm east on Knoxville. How many you need and what part of east TN ? I have a few i can let you have.
I don't like black corrugated pipe. Like what's said above, gets to hot. The black color just intensifies the heat from the sun. Also, even if you get the BCP with the slits in it, it does not provide good air circulation. Get you some sun-flex grow tubes from Plantra.com. The clear color and ventilation along the whole tube makes for a win win situation. I like the 58" doe tubes as I don't let my trees branch until they are 5' tall. I keep tubes on my chestnuts and fruit trees for four or five years, then cage them. Also you don't want the tube getting tight on the trunk of the tree. It will hold moisture and not allow the trunk to dry out. Once a tree branches and you can't slide it off the tree, I just cut the tube down the whole length so I can clean it out, prune any branches inside tube or inspect the trunks bark.
That's awful nice of youHow many you need and what part of east TN ? I have a few i can let you have.
