My old Cabela's L-80 quit working in the middle of a batch of jerky. Unit is 20 yrs old- might be a fuse if I could find it? What other dehydrators are being used? Use it about 10 times a year. Anyone use a LEM? Thanks Kenny

I have an Excalibur 9 tray I have had since 07 or 08. I use it probably 10-15times a year. If it failed, I would buy another Excalibur. Mine doesnt have a timer or digital(due to being older). Here is the 9 tray, they make several models and price points.

I have this one. $139/amazon. Had it 2 years. Used it all deer season for jerky and every 2 weeks for the last 2 years for chicken jerky for my dogs.

I have one also and it works great.

Ditto.
I actually picked mine up at a discount store probably 10 years ago. They had an aisle full of them, they were all returns that Excalibur probably sold wholesale. Got my 9 tray for about 1/3 the price of new.
When I pulled out the manual for it someone wrote "Set to 135° food only got to 115°". I was like well duh. We use it more than 12 times a year preserving the garden harvest. Mine has the timer on it and a temp setting.
When it finally gives out I'll have no issues with buying a new one.

I had a Cosori delivered this morning. Purchased on Amazon. Seems to be a solid machine and has good reviews. It's a 5 tray but is big enough for my needs. They sell larger ones as well.
