Dr Grant Woods on CWD

It is a scientifically proven fact. Deer farms transfer live deer across multiple states and group deer close together which is a big nono. The prions also stay in the soil long after any deer farm is depopulated.

Not to mention, deer farms are entirely unethical. Wild deer should be wild not caged in fences.
Deer farms are not the only transfer of CWD but they certainly don't help.

They aren't wild deer the are farmed deer no different then cows. I don't like them but also if I'm not mistaken it's illegal to transfer live deer across the state of tn? I could be wrong on that.

The cats out of the bad it's not going back in. I'm not worried with it one bit from everything I have read there's nothing that can be done to prevent it. I would assume like most viruses natural immunity will occur at some point maybe?

Also deer are crazy social in the wild so I just don't see how there's anything remotely out there that can help.

They are the same species as wild deer so that's what I call them. Either way, I'm not a fan of it and would love to see every deer farm that isn't doing deer farming for research purposes like CWD immunity to be shut down.

I'm not super worried about it either. It's out now and will soon spread across all of TN and the United States/Canada. Nothing we can do but hope for a cure or hope they get some sort of immunity. Nature will sort it out in the end.
 
Colorado has had CWD since the 1960s

Has it really decimated the deer herds there?

You remember when another country tested some fruit and sent the Covid test in and it tested positive!

Every test will have false positives and false negatives - some tests have much higher rates than others. The Covid testing methods were so amped up there were detecting virus levels that weren't there. You could test 10,000 deer samples and not a single one could have CWD and still get many positive results and a reason to continue the hysteria.

Guy is just a biologist that writes, films, consults, speaks and promotes hunting. He is a two time kidney transplant survivor and a Christian.

I watched a podcast recently where he told his career story. I found it very interesting.

I am for anyone who puts time into researching deer and promotes hunting.
