Faking injuries

I seen somewhere that Ole miss has something like 20 players listed as questionable on the injury report. People speculate he may be doing this so when his players flop all over the field against UGA he can say hey he was banged up before the game you can't fine me.

If that the case the dude worrys way to much about getting injury timeouts and needs to learn to coach without it.

If they are on the injured list the SEC should sideline all of them. Why take the risk of permanently injuring a player that is already injured?

The American Football Coaches Association submitted a proposal that would require a player who goes down on the field and receives medical attention to sit out the rest of that possession. Currently, the player must go out for one play before re-entering.

The proposal has carveouts. A coach can use a charged timeout to get the player back on the field during the current possession. A player injured by a hit that results in a penalty would be exempt. Also, the one player on offense and one on defense with a green dot on his helmet, indicating he's allowed to receive radio communication from the sideline, can re-enter after one play.

Sit out the remainder of the quarter. If the "injury" is within the last five minutes of either half, loss of a timeout or, if no timeouts are left, 15 yard penalty.

Is that a perfect solution? No. But it'll put a lot of the BS to rest.

So the player with the green dot will now be the ones faking the injury? Why would they be any different? If you fake it then you're done til the next possession.

Green dot is the QB and the defensive player calling the plays that are relayed via the helmet communication. Not likely one of them would be faking an injury, unless of course they play for Ole Miss 🙄!
