we have 3 right now locked down tighter then fort knox. they are tough and it makes it even tougher for me because its hard for me to walk away from birds. I have found that later in the season is a little easier for field birds. but it just depends. I think the bird that hung up on you is killable to. keep working him. you should get a crack at him. im getting closer and closer to the birds in my area every day they are working a little better hang in there.
