I got some pics of this guy this morning on my cell cam and knew he was around. I cut out of work early and headed home, changed and got to my property at 5:15. I got et and called and about 10-15 minutes later 2 hens entered the field. He was in tow. Never gobbled, but strutted in the whole way. At about 40 yds, he came out of strut by himself and stuck his neck up. I jerked a little and clipped his wing, but got his neck and it was all over. I took some pics and was back in the truck in under an hour.
I don't have a scale, but he was about 18-20 lbs. 3/4" spur on one side, and 7/8 on the other. Beard was 9 1/4".
I am just thankful I got one at this point. Pics to come.
