First Scouting Trip of the Season

Hits the woods early yesterday morning. 4 birds gobbling, one within 100yds of the truck.
Saw another tom, really tall guy, in the field across the road. They were all quiet by 0700.
Saw a nice flock of a dozen hens.

Now, if they will just stay in their respective areas for a few more weeks!

Nice you did better than me, went scouting first time a couple days ago and heard a hen yelp, saw no birds on the wma.

Went yesterday too. Didn't hear any but found one strutting with some hens. Also got my first tick for the year.

Heard two diff birds gobble one time each, about 20 minutes after daylight on Sat morning - Wayne Co.
