why did this thread even get started, did the OP not even look at the rankings closely? and why the hell is a TN fan celebrating being ranked 7th in recruiting in JULY.

right but you do get how they rank the teams don't you? 22 vs 8 you do see which will have a higher ranking right.

I don't personally care cause Bama is always #1 so makes no difference to me hahaha.

Florida may not get as many 4 or 5 star players,heck I dont know what players are gonna choose the Gators.I do know that the Vols are getting great players.The overall # 1 player in the nation and the #1 overall wide receiver!

Again not the #1 player overall unless your using SCOUT in which the rankings from the OP are not from scout.

They are good players but a good WR makes no differnce when your qbs suck hahah

The Vol QB's may fool people this year,Justin Worley finished #3 overall in a QB camp this summer out of about 40 starting QB's!!

Ohhh so now a camp where no one is wearing pads or hitting is how your judging the qb play this year. You can polish a turd but in the end it's still a turd hahaha

It proves one thing dude,he was a very accurate QB

I'm 50\50... And agree with what Foley (AD) has done so far. In 2012 Muschamp was one game from playing for a N\C. Last year they gave him a pass considering all the injuries 15 starters and 8 gone for the season. Yes.. FL was down to the 3rd string true freshman QB at the end of the season. FL still had a top 10 defense and Muschamp gets credit for that. The offense stunk so they fired the OC and replaced him with one of the top OCs (Roper).

Now Muschamp's got to win probably 8 to keep his job? Only time will tell and most of the experts have him on the bubble.

If anybody should know that firing coaches are not a quick fix.. It should be UT fans...

I will surely confess that Dooley was a terrible coach,Kiffin proved at USC that he wasn't head coach material but I'm gonna say that Tennessee has finally found s good coach.Not just because of his recruiting but his teams won conference championships four out of six years although at lesser than the SEC

HAHAHAH yeah when no one is actually rushing him or trying to hit him WITH PADS ON. Hell i can throw pretty good when no one is running at me and I'm in shorts and a t shirt.

I think he is a decent coach, not good but decent. I think he can be good given time and making the right adjustments to his staff (which I think he has) but to his credit this is his first HC gig. Butch has been a HC for awhile and going off of his time at Cincy, Heck I could have coached that tem to conference titles in that conference. See how he does in the SEC and then talk. A couple more 5-7 or 6-6 seasons for Butch and he is in trouble no matter what. I am sure yall will disagree.

The 4-8 record came after a 12-1 season from the former coach. Conference record was 12-9 at Cincy...

The point I'm making is that time will tell and those #s just don't jump off the page if you consider his former coaching gigs...

Jones' winning % .618

Muschamps winning % .579

The difference.... Muschamps has been done in the SEC... Not Central Michigan or Cincy.....

One other thing that jumps off the page.... Butch only normally hangs around for approx. 3 years.... Could this be a pattern... Time will tell....
