Looks like its not open this year...? Scratch that. Anyone hunt Florida public?
 
Seems like most WMA aren't open during the middle of the week or something. Florida May be the toughest there are. Birds never gobble good when I'm there. although not mountains, the swamps and slews and management canals make it tough as ever.

Yeah that's all I hear. I am honestly not too excited about it I think I would much rather just go out west..

We are going to give it our best effort though. I really just want to get that slam and move on. Not paying 1K plus for a turkey either...

I've got one Osceola Paid a friend of a friend to hunt their land for few days. Very reasonable. That being said. It'll probably be my only Osceola ever lol. I can go spend the same money and kill 2-3 out west somewhere. If I was looking for my slam. I'd just bite the bullet and pay someone that had land and birds. I don't know what everyone's situation is. But me personally I'm not Rolling the dice taking off work and striking off to public land down there lol. It be cool to go kill a public Osceola What a accomplishment. But I don't have the time it would probably take to be successful IMO.

Yeah trust me have talked to several private land owners and friends of friends and just been striking out left and right. Going to keep plugging though.
