Fruitcake…. Who’s a fan

I've purchased fruit cake from Collin Street Bakery and Assumption Abbey. I liked both. I normally don't like bourbon or rum in fruit cakes. Collin Street Bakery does not have alcohol; the monks at the abbey use wine and rum in theirs.

I've made my own the last few years. It seems to have a little more "cake" but still has plenty of pecan and fruit. The recipe calls for lemon extract in the cake mix.

This is our preferred fruitcake - panettone. Time to order pretty soon.

I like FC and the cookies, never had a high dollar 1 but wouldn't be against trying 1, like to see them before I buy or order though, diabetic and shouldn't have any but somethings going to take me out 😝

So far got a Jane Parker w/Bourbon and a Trappist Abbey (repeat from last year).
The Jane Parker is very good…. But the Trappist is better.
The local Amish store down on 107 in Greene County so far is the best I've ever had!!
Smokey Mtn Bakers in Roane Mtn, 423-957-1202. I ordered a couple from them 2-3 years ago.
I give them a holler, thanks for info
