With this crazy weather the buds are about to pop around here.

This will not be a normal spring season.

My willow tree is green and judging by the weather forecast this next week I'll be cutting the grass on Saturday...

I'm afraid it will be like around 10 years ago where I was hunting in a light t-shirt opening weekend and bibs and heavy coat most of the rest of season.

In Pulaski our nectarine tree bloomed yesterday and I cut the grass Friday. It bloomed early last year and we had a hard freeze and we had one piece of fruit on it.

I hope so. The last time we had a really early green up, the toms were on suicide missions.

Yep. 2012 was the last time I remember. It reached 93 degrees opening day. It was hot, but the birds were stupid. Sign me up for an early spring every year.

By googan theory, it will be over and the turkeys will be done before the season even starts  Hoping it will keep most of these idiots out of the woods. I would welcome Full Foliage by opening day up here in the mountains. Would make moving and getting position on these early season Gobblers a lot easier. Unfortunately, I know better, and will just have to deal with open hardwoods the first two weeks, at least up high.

Damn if this isn't the truth. The quickest way to tell a googan is the proverbial it's over bs in late April or they'll be bred out during early springs. It's fine with me as it weeds out the idiots quickly
