Garage clean up day.

Off today and in the low 80s for the first time in a long while, so needed to clean up my garage and shop. Haven't done that in years, and all the turkey feet got tossed to the back of the workbench to dry out then get left. Cleaned off the bench and cut spurs in bulk.

I really should just toss the feet, but for some reason can't bring myself to do that.

Just put them in a ziploc bag and put them back out of the way.

Also added a shelf to the workbench and piled up the deer skulls from past several years on top to free up work space.

Lol, trust me, they aren't running any more! They done been eaten up! I have two 5lb packs of ground white and dark meat in the freezer left. As soon as Boston Butt's go on sale, I'm making Brats and snack sticks! Those should last me till the first deer of the season.

I've had the spurs, beards, and empty shells from the 2 I killed in the spring sitting in my office since spring. Need to put them together and hang them with the rest.

What do you do with the feet?

do you mean after I cut the spurs off? The foot and leg minus the spurs I just threw away. I guess they would make great dog chew toys, but wife would kill me if I let our indoor dogs have them in the house.

as far as the spurs? I just leave in a ziplock bag. I don't really do anything with them, but for some reason have trouble just throwing them away.

Aah, gotcha! I didn't make it clear.

What I was saying is that I shouldn't keep the legs (not feet) at all, since I don't really do anything with them. But for some reason psychologically I have a hard time not saving them.

I strung all mine up on a piece of trot line and have them hanging from a gun rack at the cabin.
