One last note. The landscape in FL is also different than many states when it comes to sports and events. In FL you have 3 powerhouse college teams with several other good football programs. You have 3 NFL teams and two NBA teams. The competition and fans\ base are split up. I didn't even mention the beaches and other things to do on a Saturday in FL.

Use the state of Tn for example. One college team that pulls most of the fan base. One NFL and one NBA team on the other end of the state. Shouldn't be hard to feel a stadium when there's nothing else pulling a crowd.... :)
If this is the Case that the beaches,NFL,NBA,and other college programs. Is the reason UF stadium is only 3/4 full. And the reason they are selling tickets for $15.

Then FSU and Miami would be having the same problem lol? Are they?

I don't know how the university of Texas ever has ANYONE at a game. They have 2 NFL teams, 2 MLB teams, 3 NBA teams, 1 NHL team

A few other schools in Texas
TCU
BAYLOR
TEXAS A&M
Texas tech
Smu
Houston

Side note: Tennessee has a population under 7 million people, florida is pushing 20 Million (19.89) in 2014. ;)

Yeah but ummmmmmmmm, uhhhhhhhhhhhhh........... :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:

Makes to much sense. It's all about the present. If fans have something to be excited about you want see cheap tickets and empty seats. Doesn't matter what they have done in the past it's how fans feel about the present situation. Vol fans understand, we went thru it with Dooley........ :rotf:
You your right gator fans just don't anything to be excited about :tu:

Never heard of a school selling so cheap, must be desparate

I can walk down to the strip or around the stadium before a UT game and purchase tickets for $15.00 when UT is playing a weak opponent. Minutes before the game I can get them for $7.00 to $10.00. Keep in mind these are bad seats. I used to work plain clothes before the games looking for counterfeit tickets and had to deal with the guys that bought and sold tickets.
Did you really just compare box office sales to ticket scalping?

If I answer your first question then the rest of you post is has no substance... :)

UF avg. Attendance 85,000 Stadium holds 89,000.... Far cry from 3/4
FSU avg. Attendance 82,000
UM avg. Attendance 55,000

Texas is a lot bigger than Florida and have 8 million more people. Here's the finishing touches.... Florida has 12 million more people than Tennessee. Tennessee has been the only big sporting event for years until the Oilers showed up.... :)

I wouldn't consider picking up tickets at an insurance company running a promotion, box office tickets... Might want to read the OP.... :)

I have also show during some of UTs games there are tickets floating around.

Only thing I can say is ticket prices are going up in Doak Campbell Stadium. No $15 partnership tickets there.

I don't know what UF has sold for this year but figures will be available soon. Guess they hope for better than 6-6 season. Tenn and F$U will certainly boost UF's attendance.

But UF still has an higher attendance avg.??? Even when UF is down and FSU is up, UF still puts more in the Stadium. I'm not sure that's the way you wanted this post to go.... Back to the Disney Channel.

Just to make a long story short, the interest in Gator football is dwindling fast and it may even get worse this year if Florida only wins a few games.

LOL --soon as you get back from Disney ,check and see you sit 8000 more in Ben Hill than we do at Bobby Bowden field, and yes we sell out.It really is going the way I want. Carry on . :tu:

Don't think anybody is arguing that in the past years there were TN tickets floating around. It was mainly in the Dooley era when fans were not excited and had nothing to be excited about. Can't believe anyone would try to spin it. When fans are excited about product they will fill stadium. When fans are not excited there will be cheap tickets and empty seats....... :bore:

They can't do much worse than 4---9 in 2013. Can they?

11--14 in two years will make ticket sales dwindle.

BadNole u are a genius... Any team that is bad some bad years loses ticket sales. Heck TN waived their donation trying to sell season tickets a few years back. Nice try though.

It's not bad until you have to take the Vandy route and put tickets on groupon. And, still can't people to attend.
