Gay 270

Same here. No doubt it's a fine cartridge, but I just can't make myself like it. I turned down a fine old Remington BDL chambered for it a few years back because of it. I kinda regret that.

Heck, it ain't like I'm gonna start wearing a Tutu, change my name to Ricardo and take up interpretive dance or something. It's just a cartridge…..right…..???

I won a 270 once on a punch board. I went to the store and got 2 boxes of ammo and shot it. Nothing really blew my skirt up and a little while later a local family's house burned and the dad and both boys hunted. They lost all their guns in the fire. I got 3 more boxes of ammo and gave them the rifle, scope and ammo.

They got to hunt and I didn't have to tell anyone I owned a 270.

I argue No difference! If you shoot a 150 grain bullet out of either gun you won't know the difference and neither will the animal. I'm sure someone will just in with shooting targets out to 500 yards but we are hunting deer?
Yeah, just read the ballistics... The 270 130g shoots faster, flatter, and hits harder than the beloved manbun. The CM don't even start catching up till 600+. Not knocking the CM, but how many of us shoot deer that far?? Not many!!

My Abolt .270 has a bad habit.

Everything that gets in the crosshairs has a habit of dying shortly after…
Ditto, same here. Last 30 years, same .270 Remington 700 ADL. Bad medicine with 130 grain BTs. With that said, I am slowly transitioning to compact lightweight short actions, currently hunting Tikka SL 7-08. It feels light a kids gun compared to my tried and true Rem700 from the 1990s.

It's all about shot placement 😁
I respectfully agree and disagree a bunch. Bullets matter more than headstamps. Not one.270 bullet compares ballistically to 6.5.

Shot placement is always a given.

Having said that, I love my .270 - but for sentimental reasons.

I mainly shoot a 308, but have killed my biggest buck with my 270! If anything I'd have thought like a 22-250 or 25-06 of the older calibers may have that name but recently the 6.5 CM has a been called the gun for manbuns. At the end of the day I don't care what you shoot as long as it provides a clean ethical kill for the animal! But I do have to say a Browning is the best gun for waterfowl!

Absolutely agree. But they do go hand in hand as even the best terminally performing bullet doesn't help if it misses it's mark. 👍🏼

I believe @JCDEERMAN Shoots this caliber so that would be affirmative......officially a gay caliber.

Their camp also rubs their iphones together to exchange "data", also gay activities.

It's very disturbing
🤣

I only use my .270 when I go to East TN, which is quite fitting for some of the folks I know out that way 🤣.

And no, only androids you have to rub together. iPhones you can actually transmit CLEAR data from a distance 🤣
