Right now I'm looking at a 6 point buck chasing a little doe and grunting at her. If I were a betting lady, there should be some good action going on this upcoming muzzleloader weekend. The weekend after that should be golden too.

I hope you're right. Gonna be at the UT / Mississippi State game opening day and was planning to hunt the next week but wife has to go to Texas so I'm dog sitter. May have my son come stay at the house and take care of them and try to sneak off a couple days. Killed my best buck and probably more deer during muzzleloader season than any other time. It's my favorite time to be in the woods.

Hate that for you. If any of the Japanese guys ever come over here, they love to shoot guns. I took some to the shooting range one time and they had a blast. They were taking pictures of each other holding guns. It was great.

Koreans same way. They are fascinated with American gun ownership.

Went yesterday evening for the first time. Saw a little 4 buck he grunted twice and a spike messing with some does. Scrapes are getting hit pretty decent the last 3 or 4 days finally.

I sure hope things pick up here next weekend. Our activity has not been normal.

That being said, my son did get to watch a spike grunting and chasing does last weekend.
