Ghillie Suits?

is it a MUST? NO

can it help? absolutely!

personally i have a hard time hunting without one for a few simple reasons. When its hot outside i put it on and just wear shorts and a tshirt under it, makes it MUCH cooler outside.

I also like it helps you blend a bit better then just regular camo.

as far as brand there are all types of them out there. I recommend you spend the money and buy one that will last rather then buying a cheap one that you will replace in a few years. My own preference is the Mossy Oak Diffusion style. It has much more greens and yellows for spring hunting then other suits and is super durable. I spend a ton of time in the woods in turkey season so after a few run ins with briars a cheaper made suit will end up with rips and basically fall apart before long.

Whitewater makes a good one as well but not as durable and the pants have elastic bottoms which i dont like. The bass pro brand is decent but not very durable if you run around a bunch but they are much cheaper.

also as a side note: If you wash a 3d suit be sure to wash it inside out to help keep the leafy material good.

this is the set i have and IMO it is one of the best out there, just a bit harder to find these days.

yes sir best one i have found as well, bought mine at the mossyoak outlet in sevierville couple years ago.i love turkey hunting in tank tops, shorts and tennis shoes :D

How about the waist on the bottoms ? Is it elastic, draw string or what? What size do you recommend on the bottoms, I wear a 36" pants. But way too big is as bad as too small on something like these.
Thanks!
