Got a limit of tree rats this morning...

I'll see if the drive looks like this tomorrow morning. They are wearing out those two hickories.

58 squirrels now. Since this time change, I had to back off with my .22 because my neighbors don't get up til 7:30 and I know how they like their sleep even though they are 75 yards from the house.

Broke out the Beeman R9 and killed 6 plus hit 4 more and they ran off before I could get to them.

Tough shooting in this 15mph swirling wind. Probably shot 40 times to get the ones I got.

Good thing is they don't scatter after a couple of shots like they normally do. :D

Slim pickins this morning. Only 2 in the tree and I dropped them both with the Beeman R9 pellet gun. That take the tally to 60 even.

I bought that Beeman R9 to replace my RWS model 36 I bought new in 1986. The first squirrel was at 48 yards with my rangefinder. Hit him at the base of his neck and it passed all the way thru. Sounded like an open handed face slap when it hit.

Much improved performance over my worn out 38 year old RWS.

I use a Benjamin Fortitude for my backyard hunts. I feed these to the dogs. Neighborhood squirrels eat strange stuff.
