Took Ethan yesterday morn here in south MS. We located the boss whole he was still on the limb in a hardwood drain surrounded by 18 yo pines that were burned 2y ago. He liked high pitched soft clucks and tree yelps and answered immediately. Didn't hear any hens talking so I thought we had him. He pitched down toward us, hit the ground and gobbled nonstop for at least a minute (at times quadruple gobbling) 75 yards away. Ethan had the gun shouldered and finger on the trigger, but his ladies cut us off and they worked perpendicular to us. We have them 30 min, then backed out and gambled on which direction they were headed an looped around to get in front. We picked the wrong direction, and the morning was over. Was still an exciting hunt.

A son of one of the members took one of the 2 satellite toms on that group this past Sunday. Were going after the boss this Sunday before church when we get back from the beach. Hope he doesn't get killed opening day. He's in trouble if he keeps talking that much.
