Herbstreit's new 4

This is all you need to know...

1. Baylor and/or OU will take out Oklahoma State. Oklahoma State is a pretender.

2. ND 38, Texas 3

3. Texas 24, OU 17

The #4 playoff spot will be ND's

Bama should move to #1 after their last 2 weeks performance. That defense is one of the best we have seen in college football in quite some time.

I'll tell you what's not very impressive - the SEC. It's basically a 1-team conference. O-ver-rated.

So which conference is the best?

Certainly not the conference Notre Dame is in. :D  :tu: :rotf:

Too early to tell, but here's a new data point that indicates it may be the Big (Ten+4):

AP Top-25
ACC: 3 teams - Clemson, FSU, North Carolina
American: 2 teams - Houston, Navy
Big (Ten+4): 6 teams - Ohio State, Iowa, Michigan State, Michigan, Northwestern, Wisconsin
Big (12-2): 4 teams - Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Baylor, TCU
FBS Independents: 1 team - Notre Dame
Pac-12: 5 teams - Stanford, Utah, USC, Oregon, Washington State
SEC: 4 teams - Alabama, Florida, LSU, Ole Miss

The Coaches Poll is basically the same.

Also, the Vols did not receive any votes...

Others receiving votes: Toledo 39, Arkansas 35, Memphis 32, Mississippi State 25, UCLA 18, Pittsburgh 15, Temple 13, Texas A&M 8, Georgia 8, Western Kentucky 4, Bowling Green 4, Air Force 1, Arkansas State 1

ND already proved they are just as good as Clemson.

Umm...no they didn't. :rotf:

Sure they did. Home field advantage is universally regarded as providing a 3-point advantage. ND lost at Clemson by only 2 points on a failed 2-point conversion. Basic math (3-2=1) proves you wrong. :tu:

Also, anyone who watched the game saw ND's normally sure-handed receivers drop all sorts of balls in the rain, including a TD pass. Dry field and ND clearly wins the game. :super:

The CFP committee agrees with me and disagrees with you, farmin. :rotf:

I don't know their leading their conference.

It is a dang good thing it wasn't raining when Clemson had the ball or they would have been in trouble!!!! :tu: :rotf: :rotf:
