"Holyfield"

Very nice buck with battle scars to prove he's been around the block, as well as his worthiness. With his deep chest and those short front legs, I'd guess 4.5+ with a good chance he is 5.5+ when considering this is a summertime photo. Thanks for sharing and best of luck with him this fall.

Nice mature buck.

Considering it's summertime, considering chest depth, ham development, belly sag, shoulder hump, etc,
I'm guessing he's 5 1/2 or older (or more technically, he'll be 5 1/2 or older come fall).

Notice how short his legs appear, although a bit of this comes from the vegetation hiding his feet and lower legs.
This is a classic characteristic of fully mature bucks.

FLTENNhunter, I'm not 100% it's the same deer, but this is most likely the buck in the background of the picture. I can't wait to see how the G2 turns out.

Funny I recently nicknamed a buck Holyfield also. The one I am chasing is on public land and I'd rather not post a pic, but he's a 10 and has his left ear torn up.

Good buck and if you only get a partial look at his head those ears make him distinguishable. Hope you get a crack at him.
