I apologize for the long post upfront! If you would please give it a read to the end!

I Just wanted to introduce myself, and share a few of my better bucks with y'all!

I've got a bit of a dilemma and I'm hoping someone here might be able to help me out!

I lost my only place to hunt three years ago when my father passed! I had hunted this property for 27 years and didn't feel the need to look for or have more lined up during that time as I thought I'd never lose it.

Well, little did I know at the time that I would be diagnosed with cancer the following year!

I have 3rd stage multiple myeloma in which there is no cure for! It causes bone fractures and lowers your immune system to the point that what usually kills you is pneumonia or some other infection! Its a blood/plasma - bone cancer.

During the last 9 or 10 months I also lost 110 pounds which was welcome, although i would have rather lost it in a more healthy way!

During the last year I have endured chemo treatments twice weekly, and have suffered from 5 compression fractures in my spine, and was hospitalized seven times for pneumonia and other infections! Praise God, I've made it through!

However, praise the Lord, I've gotten to the point over the last couple of months that I'm nearing remission and have mostly regained my strength and starting in December my treatments will be cut back to once monthly!

Which brings me to my problem! With regaining my strength, my desire to hunt and fish has come back with a vengeance and alas, I have no place to hunt, and who knows how much longer I may have!

I have hunted since I was 10 years old and I'm 56 now. I'm a very safety aware hunter and always look to accommodate any wishes of the people that allowed me the opportunity to hunt throughout the years! I don't leave messes or ride through fields or tear things down! Always courteous and respectful as that's how I was raised!

Because of the cancer I had to resign from my job and am now on S.S.I. Disability! So I don't have the funds to lease property or pay to hunt. So, I'm hoping that someone here could maybe point me in the right direction or offer a place to hunt! It's spiritual and healing to me as I'm sure most of you can relate!

I'm not interested in killing little bucks, only mature bucks would be considered! Honestly, I would love the opportunity to just harvest some does for the freezer! I mostly enjoy just being out in God's creation!

So, if someone could offer a place to hunt or a doe management hunt I'd be most appreciative!

Thank you for your consideration, and for reading this far!

Hope you all kill the deer of your dreams!

Welcome to the site and glad your cancer is in remission. By looking at your profile you live-in middle Tennessee so I'm of no help .... don't have much property ( 10 acres ) and I'm not seeing very much or you'd be welcome to hunt my place .

I know I'm in the wrong location. 😬
Welcome to the site. Glad to hear on the improved health. Keep up the fight. Happy Thanksgiving.
I'm sure someone here will come thru with hunting opportunity. Too many good ones here

Since you're in Smyrna now check out some of the corp land around the lake. I used to live close to it and would go there some. It can get crowded so hunt the hunters. Good luck!
Thanks for the tip Gravey ! I would check it out however I'm only able to rifle hunt presently. Hopefully by next year I'll have my bow n muzzleloader back up n running!
