This can be made with any pork sausage but I like to use hot sausage......

Sausage Cornbread dressing recipe
-2 lbs of hot flavored sausage
- 2 pans of Martha White buttermilk corn bread. I just following instructions on cornbread.
-1-2 stalks of celery
-1 bell pepper
-1 large white onion
-1 can of cream of chicken condensed soup
-1 box of chicken broth

In large sauce pan mix box of chicken broth with cream of chicken. Pour in diced onion, bell pepper and celery. Bring to boil stirring regularly for about 5 to ten minutes. Turn heat to simmer while you are cooking sausage. Also while cooking sausage add sage to sausage to taste.
-when sausage is cooked, drain excess liquid from sausage.
Mix crumbled cornbread and sausage together. Separate the vegetables from liquid and mix with cornbread. Pour about half of the chicken broth into cornbread mixture. Stir in liquid and mixture adding small amounts of liquid at a time bringing to a not quit pasty consistency. Add pepper and sage to taste.
Place in 9x12 pan and brown in oven at 350 until golden brown on top.

Enjoy!

I made something similar a few years ago when trying one of Malcolm's recipes. Stuffed it and smoked the bird. Was a lot of work but very worth it. Excited to try this version!
