How do you guys practice shooting. I know that the closer the target is, the easier to hit the mark. I feel comfortable taking a 35 yrd shot and in. That is my comfort zone shooting at a live animal. I usually shoot several times at the 35 yrd 3 d target. The it seems when I shoot, 30,25,20,15, it is so easy to for me to group my arrows in a group the size of a snuff can. What diffrent ways do you guys use to better acheive accurcy.

After my bow is tuned and sighted in good , for hunting practice I like to shoot one arrow at unknown yardages and angles to simulate hunting scenarios . Deer don't stand still for groups or practice shots .

This time of year, I practice the vast majority of my practice shots at 50-60 yards an then I get on top of the roof and shot at random-ranged targets around the backyard. I always finish up with a couple of chip-shots at 20 yards.

if you only have one target like me i just move it around and shoot at unknown distances. shoot from elevated spots as well as level.

this time of year i just try to shoot as much as i can to get my muscle memory back where it needs to be first, then i move into hunting shots. I also try to shoot some at dusk to get the low light picture.

Right now I don't have much of a place to practice. My target is against the wall in my garage and I stand out in the middle of the road and shoot. My max shot is 26 yards.

I keep hoping my neighbor will tell me to come on over in to his yard, but he hasn't. :)

Routine 1 shot sessions from 43 &36 yards off the porch a couple times a day to 3d targets.

Long range practice out to 65 yards 2-3 times a week

Confirm all pins and in between yardages once a week.

2-3 3ds a summer to practice yardage estimation and shooting in varried lighting/settings.
