Humminbird HELIX 7 SI ?

I'm considering buying a HELIX 7 SI-DI-GPS Found them for $589. Anybody have input on these units?

save your money and buy the helix 9 or the new mega you will not regret going to the 9 of either choice

the 9 mega will cost you 1300 but well worth it imo you can also use the smartstrike card in it which is great

If you go with the 7, do the hd transducer upgrade,$85, it will give you better detail. If you

IF you just had to have it tomorrow then do as mentioned shop around, BUT if you can wait on the purchase keep saving and go as big a screen as you can.....you will thank us all later!!

When looking at SI you are trying to cram so much onto that small screen it gets really aggravating and if you don't do the TD upgrade it is even worse!!

As mentioned the new MEGA is producing images that will blow your mind with the proper install.

A few Helix 10 MEGA I borrowed from a friend that he saved over the weekend, this was in a lot of current which affects the returns some.

Well, it looks like I'll get a MEGA 9 OR 10. I found a place that has some pretty dang good deals.

looks like the new G2N mega transducers have dedicated DI crystal so thats a plus too, unlike the previous gen helix units.
