I have always preferred morning but evening sits can be great in early season. Typically it's more about just whenever I can find time to go. I try not to waste any opportunities to be out hunting.
Edited to say: 2nd deer of this season was actually taken yesterday evening. The 1st was opening morning. Good luck to all
