I don’t know if I can hunt turkeys anymore.

I've missed twice this year which is rare for me. I'm positive they seen the glare on my fastfire yesterday. I was behind a tree with just my gun and half my head sticking out at 28 yards and the hens picked me off right off the bat. Today I'm trying to make a sunshade for it

im not saying yours didnt spook or see it, however I have hunted with one for 6 years and have killed A LOT of turkeys using one and have not one time had an issue of one spooking on the glare.

I was behind a tree! I think it just happened to be where the sun was cresting over the ridge and making it shine like a new penny. No way they seen me. I've hunted with one longer than 6 years and I think in the right conditions it could alert them. I have a Burris and Vortex. Burris coatings glow orange and Vortex reddish.

I used to keep the hood on mine until I lost it.
