I hate these things

Turkey meat sucks. Wild turkey sucks even worse cause you gotta breast em up or pluck em. They were good for starving pilgrims, but they are a distant second behind chicken.

Why anyone would trade a turkey hunt over the crappie spawn is beyond me. I'd take 10 slab crappies over 1 tom turkey every single day of the week. I love fried crappie!!!

Thanksgiving turkey dinner also sucks. If it didn't, we'd eat it once a week like burgers or pizza. If it was a true delicacy, rich people would order it at fancy restaurants year round. Worst thing about thanksgiving dinner is you are expected to lie about how good it is. Truth is your relatives wasted 4-5 hours of their day off making it.

Im thankful thanksgiving dinner is just once a year.

I feel triggered by this comment... Wild turkey is the best protein a human can eat...

I know, It's kind of a norm violation for me to say it.

again it's just my opinion, it's ok to be different. I'd love to see a comparison of grams of protein per ounce/pound of wild turkey vs venison. And of course a wild turkey is a safer option because we can only imagine what gets injected into caged chickens or turkeys.

Again my comment was largely about taste. Turkey is a transvestite meat. It has to be made into weird creations so people actually buy it at the store and eat it, like turkey bacon and turkey jerky.

Chicken just tastes better. chik-fil-a, chicken nuggets, rotisserie chicken, it sells way better than turkey. There is no turk-fil-a, no one is interested in feeding their kids turkey nuggets, hot rotisserie turkeys are not sold by the dozen at wal mart.

I have seen different numbers but its very good. My kids love wild turkey and they're picky eaters.. Our staple is wild turkey mardi gras over rice. Look it up 10/10.

Most of what you said is false. But, I somewhat agree about wild turkey meat. Turkey hunters are required to say it's wonderful, but it's not. If it was, 90% of the wild turkey meat harvested wouldn't be cut into strips, battered, and deep fried. Let's face it: you could batter and deep fry anything and it would be edible. Give me a fat Butterball anyway, even though wild is much healthier.

Blaspehmy! Wild turkey nuggets and properly cooked grilled wild turkey is FANTASTIC! I'd trade 10 venison backstraps for one wild turkey breast. They typically don't last long around my house.

Dang man, that's a great deal! You might make me break down and shoot one of those ridiculous birds in the face so we can do some swapping!!!
