We were doing a close quarter drill once, had a bullet from the berm come back and hit me just below my shooting glasses.

The "tire house" at Fort Stewart was usually a disaster area, especially when the Rangers came down from Hunter Army Airfield or a group of Marines from Beauford, SC.

Buddy of mine shot a bridge webbing with a 30-06 steel jacket. Bounced right back & went through his right shoulder, complete pass through. Might have been alcohol involved...but he got a very cool scar to show the ladies.

I was at a dump area playing with my Desert Eagle .44 Mag. There were some old cars and parts and lots of other targets of opportunity. I decided to shoot at a rear differential plate about 30 yards away. I took a ricochet right to the solar plexus. I thought I was dead. It did not break any skin but it knocked the wind out of me and dropped me to my knees. I have gotten a little more particular about picking targets to shoot at when plinking.
