If you could only take 1 call to the woods?

3 reed ghost cut or combo cut. I've been on the Houndstooth train the last couple years. Any call you couldn't use with one looking your direction at 70-80 yards would be a no go to me.

I was Listening to the THP podcast the other day and Ted and Warb tried to blow or suck or whatever you do with that call and I was Cracking up..."this is all Catman uses...total fail lol" I've never tried one myself and I'm sure I would sound like a busted duck on it too

It takes some practice. But what's more fun than calling a turkey with real turkey parts? :super:

I love a good split V 3 Reed mouth call but I guess if it was only one it would be my old Lohman Thunder dome slate call. That call is hard on an old Tom!

Itd be my corder zebrawood slate with my lyman snakewood. Clint makes a dang good call. Sounds sweet as sugar with that Lyman too.

Tom Teasers "Butt Naked Hen"

I hate the name and feel stupid every time I type it. But I love the call. I can get really loud with cuts and yelps so I strike a lot of turkeys with it prospecting. But I can make it soft when I need to. I usually switch to a 3 reed ghost cut when I'm working a turkey as I can get a better range of soft vocalizations. But if I had to pick just one, I'd take the naked hen.

That's not as bad as the Cotton Cordell Gay Blade. It catches fish but I dread when people ask what it's called

Have left the truck many times with nothing more than one call, ranging from a mouth, bone, or trumpet yelper, to a slate pot or scratchbox. All depends on "who" I am hunting and how many times we have already met ;)

Halloran Twisted Sister, but I bought a copper and titanium call off of Mike Yingling and can't wait to try them out this year. They sound great on my back porch we will see how the birds like them.

Tough for me to say. Right now I'd probably have to pick the Ninja Hammer from woodhaven, although I can't purr on a mouth call for anything. This answer might change soon. I picked up a Gooserbat crystal & a couple his mouth calls at NWTF and so far I am digging those.
