All joking aside, what side of the ball has been the downfall of the gators the last two years?

If you say offense, I would say you are correct.

How is possibly landing 3 big fish on defense going to help that situation

Inquiring minds would like to know.

C'mon MainStreet, you know all those players that have been recruited for the spread the last 4 years are going to make the pro-style run like a well oiled machine.

Nope... One of the big fish, Martez Ivey is an OT. Out of the 3, FL has the best chance to land him.

On defense Randy Shannon is using the old hurricane's model. Recruit fast kids and have them grow into a different position. Make DB's into a LBs, LB's into DEs, and DE's into DT..... ray:

3 out of 4 years while Muschamp was at FL, the Gators had a pro-style offense. Last year under roper FL went back to the spread.... arty:

All joking aside, they don't. FL has good depth at DE and the recruits that they have committed at DE, FL plans to convert them to DT. Also FL is holding out for Cowart and Jefferson. This class FL just needs to just feels some needs and is probably best that they sign a small class so the new coaches can fill the 2016 class with players that fit their system.

Funny,gator is saying its best for Florida to sign a small class this year,could his reasoning be that he sees Florida will sign a small class or sign a bunch of 2 and 3 star recruits because they have no other choice!! :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:

I think FL. will sign a small class this year and work with what they have got now and coming in This will give them time and a year to get there feet set with the coaches and get their recruiting together. Then next year sign a huge class like we did 30 plus players. Just my thought.

Yep. Plus, it isn't like they are devoid of talent, so there isn't any reason to scrape the bottom of the barrel. They have a roster full of 4 & 5 stars, so lack of talent won't be an excuse for a poor season.

Not exactly! Still have decent depth on the defensive side, but are pretty thin on the offense. Muschamp was lacking on his offensive recruiting. Yes I think they will sign a smaller class and look to next year. No different than when previous coaches came in. If I remember right, Meyer only signed 17 or 18 his first year.

Bingo... Muschamp didn't leave FL in to bad of shape when it comes to talent. FL is thin on the OL and needs to developed one of their young QBs.. That should sounds familiar...

No it wouldn't... FL signed a top 10 class after going 4-8. Thiis years class had nothing to do with their record. Its all about relationships built with the kids and coaches. FLs coaches got a late start but this class will end up with some players.

Its big boy football GnB. Does that sound familiar to you? Im pretty sure Ive heard you say that more than once. It does happen, it will happen and it will continue to happen. Is it questionable? Yes. Do you really want to get all sentimental over a kid that has offers from other top schools besides TN? He will get in somewhere on a free ride. Its not like hes gonna miss out on college and football altogether.

Reality is, you dont really care if he gets a free ride at TN or not. Your just using it as a jab to CBJ and the Vols. :tu: :tu:
