Cat, congrats on your bird! I was just wondering last night if you had gotten back after them again. I went through a string of misses that was hard to endure. I missed all THREE birds I called up in 2010 (I think). Prior to that season I switched to Truglo fiber optic rifle sights and a Primos Jellyhead choke (with Hevi 13 #7's). The pattern with that setup was AWESOME! My problem was not keeping my head down on the stock. Well, the following year the rifle sights were gone, I added a Burris Fastfire II (Speedbead mount), and switched to a slightly more open Rem SF choke. I'm not going to jinx myself by telling you what my % is since then but I will say that I'm extremely pleased with the changes I made! The Fastfire isn't a cheap solution but it has TOTALLY been worth it for me. So much that I put one on my new project 870 20 ga this year. I haven't taken it to the woods yet but when I do I'll be confident that where I put the dot is where the shot will go.
