J Jennings

Yeah it's funny because it took 4 days to come out with a ruling then it was only half a game. If it was egregious I think it might have been swifter & more than half a game. Maybe not.
Now I'm more on the side of the fence that maybe it was intentional but they can't prove it. Or hell maybe it wasn't but he did obviously get mixed up in a scrum & his foot ended up on a guy's head and they had to do something.
Somebody said earlier that this is not a good look or good way to go out last home game and that is correct.

Yeah no need to draw more attention to it for only a half in a lower end bowl game.

He got a small slap on the wrist if it they was no doubt he did it on purpose.....he was already labeled a thug and told to pack his bags 45 seconds after the play on this site. I guess the SEC didnt watch the same video.

Fullmer went on to say he has been OUTSTANDING for the team, and the program.

Yeah what I just said, took them 4 days to slap him on the wrist. People on here already labeled him a thug and said no doubt it was 100%on purpose pack your bags 2 mins after the video They must have gave the SEC & UT a different video

I feel like I am kicking a dead horse but this guy has caused more fan flip flopping. I posted a couple weeks ago how two years ago UT fans thought he was a complete punk. Then few weeks ago UT fans were getting ready build a statue. Are we back to punk? I can't keep up

Just wait and see how he does in the bowl game... If he does good they will love him, plays bad, he should have never been able to play. :tu:

They will be 100,000+ fans cheering his name, and going crazy when he enters the game. Some of them will be the same ones calling him a punk thug wanting him gone just 5 days ago you are correct.

Guessing if the roles were reversed and Jennings was the guy on the ground getting his head stepped on, the views would be completely different? :poke:

Your exactly right about that but I call it like I see it and I think he is a punk thug no matter how many jabs other fans want to throw at me. :pop: :tu:

Yep, he obviously has issues. I said two or three years ago I thought he would be lucky to finish out his 4-5 years because he definitely has shown that he makes stupid decisions (mainly off field). Looks like he will finish out his time (though wouldn't surprise me if he did something stupid in next month) thanks to multiple second chances. If anyone, TN fan or not, watched the way he acted after he hit the Vandy player and didn't shake their head, they are crazy. Whether the cleat to head was intentional or not, the way he acted during scrum and after getting up would not support the theory that it was an accident.

With that said, TN is no different than any other team. If you are a very good athlete that can help their team, they are going to keep you until they have no choice. Teams at every level (little league to Pro's) do this.

My thoughts exactly.

I do think that the had toned it down some, but he just lost it on that tackle. I wonder if he was frustrated that he didn't get more touches in the game, and it just built up to a boiling point.

I was hoping on our drive in the red zone, that they would have let him run some wild cat. I guarantee that he would have scored.

Wonder why there was no after-the-fact penalty for Kash Daniel?

For the UF incident? He sat the 1st half of the next game... Stoops choice.

I don't think the step deal was intentional, but the extracurricular after the borderline late hit should have have drawn a flag and gotten him tossed on Saturday. So, same results as the late ruling.

I've seen some speculation that the Vandy player may have said/done something pregame to put a bullseye on him. When you watch the game, another Vol player drilled him on a fair catch early in the game for an obvious personal foul penalty. That Vol didn't catch much grief from the coaches when he got back to the sideline. And, Mason and the Vandy player didn't have anything to say about Jennings post game. Who knows what was going on. But, not a good look for JJ.

I couldn't of teed a golf ball much better.... :rotf: I'm not going to pretend that it wasn't intentionally done. If it was a Gator player, I would be saying the same thing. Motive:.... Fought with the guy, ripped his helmet off, spiked he's head in the ground with his hand, and then stepped on his face.... He was in 3 different acts of violence against another player but we are trying to overlook that last but most violent act? Stevie Wonder could call this... :rotf:

Pretty obvious that the officials and later the SEC office don't agree with you. But, you are certainly entitled to your opinion.

Really, he suspended for a half, his last game.

You get a call over a guy hunting over bait. You find the bait, you find the stand over it, and you watch the guy shoot a deer over the bait. I guess he committed all those acts besides the last one of shooting the deer... :rotf:

SMH....
