Jalen Hurd arrested?

First I have heard about it. College kids will be college kids. They are not the first to drink in college, nor the first to be underage and drink. Punishments will be dealt and Jalen Hurd will take it like a man I'm sure. He seems to be one who learns from his mistakes. I don't know whether it will be for the bowl game or not. That will be for Butch to decide.
 
This happened two weeks ago. From what I can gather, he has been disciplined by the staff and has been practicing so I would say he plays in the bowl game.

I wasn't there so I have no idea if this is correct. He was definately illegally drinking under age. From what I have read, the other guy was found passed out in Hurds car. Hurd wasn't in the car but in his dorm room. The cops went to his dorm after finding out that the car was registered to him and there they found open containers in the room. I read somewhere that said he was only cited and never physically arrested. I don't know how that works. I've never been in trouble with the law other than a speeding ticket. TIFWIW. Like I said, I don't have any idea if it's true as I wasn't there.

everyone is doing it. Such a lame cop out.
One week we proclaim the players should be paid for the money they bring in, this week drinking is no big deal. Well it is in my house.

He should be kicked off of the team.

This is the University of Tennessee; not Florida, or Florida State, or Vanderbilt!

If you think that this is not a common occurrence on any college campus then you have definately been sheltered.

Of course not.

Good info at that Rocky Top link. Just another example of the Tennessean doing what they do. Any they wonder why they are losing subscribers!
 
I loved reading the comments under the story on the Tennessean. They are getting exposed for their sham journalism!

The part where he is just a college kid and Butch will take care of it.THATS the problem I have with your defense. And when you retaliate with everything you THINK Winston did please check your facts and make it seem like you aren't a ESPN reporter for the SEC.

Sorry, but UT is not noted for handing out stiff punishment for violations by members of the BB or FB teams. And that's a fact, Jack!

BTW, this is old news and the he has been punished internally. He won't miss the bowl game, nor should he. Time to move on to next atrocity :D !
