Thanks, I wasn't sure if it was more than 1 5/8 oz or not. This is my first year at roll your own tss. Learning more and more everyday.

TSS = Tungsten Super Shot

The shot is made of Tungsten instead of Lead. Tungsten is much more dense and heavier for the same size shot. The advantage is you can shoot something like #9's and have the same (or more) killing power than 4/5/6/7's. So, you get a much more dense shot pattern.

In the past, the only way to shoot it is to hand load it. This year some manufacturers are offering TSS in factory loads. It's more expensive than lead - but it's not like you're going to be shooting 50 shells a year.

I've been hunting with a 20 gauge nearly 30 years now.

Only one missing is my first single shot!!
