All of a sudden I'm grateful mine is only covered with antsI would pick the one tree with a yellow jacket nest in the bottom of it.

Mine had poison Ivey all over it and it tore me up for over a week. I'll look closer next time.
I put a two man ladder stand there and cut all the poison Ivy off. I'm sure the tree still has the oil on it but I'm going to wrap a little camo cloth around where I'm sitting and should be ok. I'm still learning I have to be much more aware. Maybe when I'm 80 .That's how all the good trees are. If it's gnarly with good cover, it's covered in poison ivy.
Go to the drug store and get some stuff called Tecnu. When I know or even think I have gotten into Poison oak or around it I use this. A friend of mine that worked for the power board said they use this all the time cutting trees and branches off power lines. Even when you get poison oak this helps stop the itch and dry it up. If I apply it when I get into the poison oak it seems like I either don't get it or it's very mild. I hate poison oak about as bad as yellow jackets.I put a two man ladder stand there and cut all the poison Ivy off.
