I read the other day the piece on Muschamp to South Carolina. Why in the world would they want him after his epic fail at Florida? Either way I hope they do hire him. :tu:

He's a proven recruiter, and a proven commodity as a defensive coach.

Yes, he's a jack wagon of the first order. But we're talking about a school that hired spurrier.

Proven recruiter and DC yes but not head coach. Otherwise how do the Gators suck so bad last year and then McElwain wins this year with the same players? As a Vol fan I hope they do hire him.

don't get me wrong, i'm far from a Muschamp fan. that being said, if he wasn't such a jackwagon, i wonder if he would have gotten another year at UF. if he learned he needs an Offense to be successful, maybe he'll be more successful this go around. the other thing is, the bar wasn't as high at USC. they made a big dollar commitment to Spurrier, and he couldn't get done what most USC fans wanted, if they are honest. i doubt there was much appetite to go after another established big dollar HC. so all things considered, Muschamp was probably the best available fit for USC.
