Mathews Monster!

Mathews makes a heck of a Bow and I see they did an Awesome job once again! I loved the ones I shot years ago! Quality every step of the way. I was glad they finally came off the Solo cam deal. I still love the ease of setting up a Solo though and I think I actually prefer them. I owned a PSE velocity and that 6 inch brace height just kills it for me. It will eat my arm off. Not sure why. Guess my arm is to fat! Anyhew Awesome Bow once again. Kudos Mathews!!

See I told you guys not respond to this Wseay. He never has anything of value to say.

I feel sorry for the guys who think they can shoot just because they bought the most expensive bow on the market. The bow don't make the shooter. The shooter makes the bow.

Jaymac, sorry they ruined your thread man

I was at a local proshop the other day and some guy bought a new Reezen and said this.

"At least I will have the best bow in Sweetwater now"

....

I haven't been on here for a couple months and this thread vaildates why I've stayed away. I shot PSE for years and just bought a virtually new Mathews LX. I could afford a new one but why spend the money if you can get something that shoots good for less- that's called value.

I also used to drive a Mercedes. Nice car but didn't fit my lifestyle. Also had a custom gun made at the same time another buddy of mine had the twin made. He was convinced his Swarovski scope was better than my Leupold. I still outshot him with my "cheap" scope.

What's going on here is a bunch of brand snobbery. We should be above this. Promote the sport. There will always be someone bigger , stronger, faster, richer. In spite of that we all put our pants on one leg at a time.

I hunt with a bunch of guys that run the spectrum from just getting started (hunting and financially), to guys that don't have a money care in the world. Nobody gives a flying crap what the other guy is shooting, how much it cost. We all love to hunt and work real hard in supporting each other. Best group of guys I've ever had the privelege of hunting with. Funny thing, one even used to hunt Ames (doesn't our rabid Mathew's fan hunt there?)- he got out and enjoys hunting with folks not obsessed with anything other than enjoying our time off in the woods.

Let's get our priorities right and keep this site on the right track.

Monster looks to be one of the best out there hands down. Good job Mathews!! From a Bowtech shooter mind you!!

Well thanks for the compliment, but I haven't shot it or commented on how it shoots. I believe I've said I don't think it's for me based on the design

BigJ, Are you drunk? We DO NOT pass around compliments to Jay that easy. Your slipping.

I finally shot one Saturday. It is a nice bow, the only thing I didn't like about the monster is the draw cycle. It is a shoulder killer, at 70 lbs. it pulls like 80 lbs. I shot it out to 40 yards, fast and flat shooter. I watched a fella shoot the same bow at 70 yards.

i didnt shoot it but i drew it today and it had a really tough draw cycle, i didnt like it at all, but that mighta changed if i shot it.
