Millennials

The whole idea of referring to young people as millennials is funny.

I'll be 40 next year, and I'm technically a millennial.

I know a LOT of people that are between 25 and 40 that hunt.
pretty much everyone I know around my age wouldn't dare kill an animal much less kill and eat it hahaha I guess it may just be my area I am in.

Most youngsters rather play on their phones
i hate my phone i broke mine a year back on a job and didn't have one for 3 months until my wife went and got me one best 3 months of my life even now i leave it laying around haha and don't answer it half the time.

I'm 30…I grew up hunting with a red Ryder BB gun at age 4 in a single man shooting house with my big papaul and two of my cousins in the swamps of south alabama. Im now a doctor in residency, and it's my escape to get my head right as i love every bit of it. I love the camp atmosphere. I feel at home and connected to so many memories in the woods.

That said, too many people my age and younger are in it for the YouTube videos or social media posts. There are too many fatherless kids growing up not getting the same exposure like I had as kids. Shoot, we barely ever saw a deer, but because the camp was so much fun, I couldn't wait to get checked out of school. I think there is too much a result centered approach by the fathers that do take their kids that it turns off kids from loving it. Make it fun at camp for the kids, and I'll bet it will make a difference years later. They will learn to enjoy the hard work in the woods as well as the process of getting to hunt instead of just the kill.

A big thing for me personally is how it's a way for me to spend personal time with the good Lord. Take a kid with you and disciple to them with the creation and blessings the good Lord provides. It's a win win as they not only will love the outdoors but also and more importantly learn to love Christ through His creation. Just my two cents.

Well said Sir couldn't agree more with you on this.

I myself is one but I don't see or hear of very many people in there 20-30 even younger if not going with a family member that actually hunt maybe a few fair weather couple weekends a year but that's it I feel like no people around my age are just soft wimps I guess 😂
The "huh?" comment, I assume, is in reference to your poor grammar, use of "there" when you meant "their", and your total lack of punctuation.
I'm not meaning to criticize, but you would probably do better in life if you get an education and learn how to write a coherent sentence.

Are you serious? Judging a man's life by his typing skills?

I type all day most the time I am a manager at a HVAC co. I type and right up quotes and statements warranty claims all day the last thing I am worried about. when I am talking deer hunting is how I am typing. But you are correct I just was wondering peoples opinions on it. I feel like it's becoming a dying breed.

Why not get some of your buddies out huntin?

I know what you mean. I'm 31 and I don't know many people like me. Just about everything I've ever done, I had to teach myself. Including hunting.
