Mountain Buck Down in NE TN

What a good buck, and what a story. Shelf life of BH209 has been found to be quite good if you want to give it a try. So basically, even with the price jacked up it's still worth it as far as I am concerned.

Every single method of getting deer out has its downside, that's for sure. Only time I ever got exhausted to the point of being sick like a dog was from shooting a buck that expired only a few feet from Center Hill Lake, and I was parked up on Hwy 96 on Dale Ridge. I took my gun back and got my sled but found it to be actually working against me on the steepest climb, sliding two feet back for every three feet forward. Thankfully the good Lord sent an angel in orange that might've kept me from killing myself getting the little buck to the top. Now I've got a pack frame and everything I need if I ever shoot one somewhere like that again.

Thanks so much for sharing, and congratulations!
I was wanting to make the switch a few years ago and had read about the good results with that powder but never go around to making the switch. I def will now. The powder pellets I am using now are at least 12-15 years old and have been out in the garage most of their life.

Fantastic hunt. Great mountain buck and excellent writeup too. I really enjoyed the read. Thank you for sharing. Congrats on a trophy and a very memorable experience!
