A few questions for those of you who use mouth calls.

1. Do you bend the frame of the call to get a better fit?

2. When not in use do you keep your calls in the refridgerator?

3. Do you use something to seperate the reeds when the call is not in use?

Other than the first question, I have not been doing these things. I'm just wondering if I should to keep the sound quality of my mouth calls more consistent.

1. I don't bend mine. Usually after several times of using them they kinda form to my mouth I guess.
2. No
3. No
Dug them out of my vest from last year and they still sound good!

I dont do any of the above. So no would be my answer. I used to cut mine down small, but i dont do that anymore. As i call and practice it naturally bends to fit my mouth. Id wash them out alot during season. Then again when season is over, to store them. I have cleaned them with soap and water , and i clean them with mouth wash.

Dont do any of those things either....but I do clean mine in mouth wash ever so often. Had a cold one year opening day and called with my mouth call and didnt clean em and could not get rid of the cold... took me forever to figure out y i was still sick, finally got some advice to clean em and started to get better so now i clean mine every two weeks. just let em soak for a lil while and rinse and your good to go

Got some alcohol free Scope to keep in my truck. A mouthful of that swished around in the mouth with the call when I get back to the truck and then into the 3-call case I have. Going to try that this year since usually by the end of the first week I have a terrible sore throat from I'm guessing bacteria buildup.
