I just bought a TC Encore in 50 caliber and I am ready to zero it in with the correct load. All my shots will be less than 100 yards and I want a bullet that will perform great every time. My son has an Encore and he shot Power Belts in it. They grouped extremely well but they did not stop deer in their tracks. I plan to use Blackhorn 209 for my powder and want good info on best bullet choices.

Thanks in advance.

I like the Harvester Scorpion PT Gold 300gr

In .429-.430" bullets I bet their 300gr White Lightning is excellent. I have used the 270gr Speer Gold Dot and 300gr Hornady XTP with perfect results.

Barnes Spit-Fire T-EZ
Yep, 2 holes everytime.

Below is a picture of 2 250gr tez that I recovered from water jugs. At 2777 fps they passed thru 8 jugs.

I'm gonna say anything .44-.45cal 240gr-300gr XTP's. They've all worked perfectly for me behind either 90gr 777 or 63gr/weight Buckhorn. They make a big flat mushroom if you happen to find one. A broadside shot will result in 2 goodsize holes to leak from if they make it out of sight.

Look at the Hornady XTP 240 gr hp. Good price and they do the damage. U came find them in alot of places. My wife shot them in her muzzle loader. I shoot Hornady 250gr SST and 290gr Bore Driver bullets.
