muzzy 100's or rage 2blade

DWM, i like the muzzy's cause they are fixed blades, and dont have to worry about them not opening. but ive had my bow tuned twice and they still fly 3-5inches left or right. the rages i like because they fly like my field tips so there is no changing the sights whenever i need to shoot field tips, and they do some serious damage. the thing i dont like about the rages is that they are mechanical, and there is that chance that they might not open, or might open during flight causing a miss, or worse injuring a deer. just thought i would let ya know since you asked. thanks

I have seen a lot of Muzzy's not shoot good but they was usually all grouping to the same spot not left and right. They would all be high right. If the same arrow is sometime left then sometimes right you have another problem. Even if it is the head it should still group off to the same spot each time. Sometimes problems in your form will be multiplied with a broadhead. Some people have great luck with the Muzzy head and it is because they fit their bow and shooting style. They are great heads but just like all heads they need to fit the shooter and their setup.

I agree I don't like to add another element of mechanics that could possibly fail with mechanical heads. They are some great mechanical heads out there but I have no need to take that risk when I have great success with what I have. I have never seen the G5 Striker or the Slick Trick not hit the same as a field tip as long as the bow is tuned even close to right. Try to find someone in your area that shoots them that will let you try them. If they do not shoot good then you may have some other problem.

If you can get the muzzy's to fly right, I'd stick with them. I never could so I switched to montecs. I have good luck with them.

I do have a pack of 2 blade rages that I carried in my quiver 2 years ago but never let one fly. I carried one arrow with a rage last year at all times but used the montec primarily. After shooting 2 does with the montec, I put the rage on. The next doe that came in, I missed the mark with my range finder and shot over her back. She ran closer and I shot her with a montec. I guess it just wasn't meant to be.

It makes NO DIFFERENCE if your broadheads don't fly like your field points. WHO CARES?

What matters if your broadheads consistently GROUP the same. So you have to adjust your pins just pryor to the deer season. And practice all hunting season with broadheads. There is nothing wrong with this.

Iff your field points group well, and your broadheads group well, even though it may not be the SAME point of impact, this is GOOD.

Shoot the most accurate, sharpest, widest broadhead you can afford.

I have shot them both and they both have killed a ton of deer. i do not like the mz 100's nor the rage 100's better than i like either of them in the 125's. having said that the devastation the rage 2 blade produces is all i will use until if find something better. that is what i said aboutthe Muzzys for about 15 + years and then the rage came along. voila!
