I've got a .35 Remington. I had the same problem with those bullets. If the deer didn't drop where I shot it , you were looking for a little to no blood trail and were lucky if you found them.
I have pretty much quit carrying the gun because the good round nose Federal or Remington bullets are too hard to find or when you do they are very expensive.
The ammunition problem with that caliber stems from the new 360 buck hammer cartridge. .
Get you some Federal, Remington or Winchester round nose 200 grain bullets. That should fix your problem.
Or just get a 30/06 . No problem finding bullets for that.
