New state record?

Off Wilson's Facebook page. Morgan county deer
Thank you Cecil for the original photos from Wilson's wildlife photography!

I enjoy estimating B&C (Boone and Crockett) scores for white tail;

-I like to practice so when I am in the field I can estimate on the fly.

-All my scores are based on photos you posted to here, thus it may not be accurate. Normal B&C scores are done with a 1/4-inch wide flexible steel tape to the nearest one-eighth of an inch. I do not go to the 1/8 inch. I do whole inches and go off photos and use things in the photos for approximate references!

-Also, I do gross score and don't do the whole subtract for atypical stuff.

-Of note, circumference (mass) is tough to gauge off of photos

Based on the pics in my estimate B&C for your deer is: 195-205 give or take 5-8 inches for error.

obviously good length and all the times and it looks like it's gonna have a hell of a lot of mass

Beautiful animal

Anyone have photos of the foster deer and score?

The one posted above is one amazing specimen
Sonny's had a world class frame IMO, netting 186" as a mainframe 10 Point.

They're just able to avoid hunters and grow to maturity further east in the rugged mountains.
I suspect this will only become more of a factor as more of the hunting population opts to not "go deep and/or put forth the effort", and hunt suburban deer.

A few data points definitely suggest this. Both in TN and KY. Worth mentioning, MANY great bucks are never mentioned to the general public, much less registered in the books.
Yep. I was fortunate enough to kill a buck with a MZ that far exceeds the current county record in which I killed it. But I didn't register it. I didn't even get it officially scored.

Shared the pic with friends and family. That's about it.
