Got a new toy. Been wanting one of these for years. Backwoods G2 Party with double-latch. Will make for some greatbackyard smoking and give us a little extra capacity for the BBQ contest. Backwoods customer service was top notch.

Not gravity. Charcoal is in a firebox in the bottom, above a water pan. I'd guess 65 percent of the cookers at Memphis in May are backwoods smokers. This weighs 270 lbs and is just a medium sized one.

Oh nice, how often have to reload the charcoal? Is the water pan essential to the results, in your opinion? Ive looked at those stubbs gravity fed cookers several times. Do you know if those are used much in the comps?
