I agree with this. It's only going to be a circus with the monkeys in the media and the Internet warriors that run the zoos.

There is not and has not been a better coaching job become available in all of NCAA football till Nick Saban retired from ALABAMA. The Crimson Tide will have the opportunity to go after ANY coach they want.

All of the initial negotiations are done with their agents so at the end of the search they can say they didn't offer anyone except the coach they ended up with.

Well sure they can go after any coach they want, a peewee league team can too, but that don't mean they gettem. If it's that great a job , they would have announced by now. I don't think any high profile coach that's winning now wants it. It's stale, these guys know Bama's been on top a loonnggg time and it can't last forever, they could derail their career by taking the job. Would you want to be the guy at the controls of the Bama plane when it starts sputtering?
Somebody will and they'll do ok with the leftover talent for a couple of years then they'll start to slide. Just the way it works, ask Nebraska fans.

Bama is a great job, unless you have to follow Saban. I know that won't make any sense in your pea brain but when you have to replace the best to ever do it you'll never succeed. No matter how good the next guy is he won't be as good as Saban and that will be his downfall.

I beg to differ I wouldn't touch that job at all, its suicide if they lost 3 or more games you spoiled fans would call for his head and his career is in the toilet

Also Texas. Same conference. Equal facilities. More money. Probably a larger fan base. And more fertile localized recruiting.

This is not like the vols coaching search where they have to go through like 9 coaches and get turned down because no one wants the job like they did After the Schiano fiasco . ALABAMA athletic department is on solid ground and its the #1 Coaching job in the country. When they get ready to make a offer it will be a solid one. The Circus Monkeys are with the media and the internet trolls running the circus .

That's my concern with Deboer. Saban is a good coach and excellent at managing the program but there is not mistaking that his championship teams were loaded with talent. If Deboer is hired, I'm hoping he will listen to Saban regarding recruiting and managing the NIL and portal. Saban said in his interview the other day that he will be around and helping the program. That can be viewed as a potential thorn in the side by an incoming coach but I maybe the new coach can embrace it. (Maybe why the offensive coordinator is being mentioned as potential for the job though I don't think he is ready.)
